The Axial Study Centre in the Republic of Ghana has been established in partnership with Bronston Canadian Academy, an international high-school that delivers the Ontario School Diploma at campuses in Canada and Accra. This means students who join our Undergraduate-level and Postgraduate programmes can enjoy an international study environment as they work toward their UK qualifications.
Ghana uses English as its official language, and so students are well-placed for undertaking British higher-education in a country that shares another special feature with the UK – the Greenwich Meridian (the foundation for Greenwich Meantime, the official centre of time for the UK) also runs right through Ghana!
Through our campus network and university partnerships, students may choose to consider the UK for achieving the final stage of a Bachelor’s Degree, or perhaps you’d like to study abroad at our East Africa campus as part of the educational journey. When students are awarded a place at the Study Centre, they are registered on the UK education system as an international student, and we work with Bronston Academy to ensure the local culture is understood and respected at the same as ensuring British educational standards are delivered an upheld. It’s a truly international experience!
The philosophy we maintain at our international Study Centres is that students should have the opportunity to pursue their studies in the way that works best for them. For some students this might mean a preference to remain in Ghana to complete the final stage of their chosen university Degree, and so our partnerships include Distance-Learning study options that allow our students to remain at the Study Centre to complete their UK Degree studies. And for those students who are excited at the prospect of the study-abroad experience, our partnerships with universities based in the UK and internationally can make the dream of international study a reality!
